SEO Performance Report Template

A full month of organic search in one report, from impressions down to the pages and queries doing the work, without exporting CSVs from Search Console the night before it is due. What this template covers

A good SEO report answers four questions before anyone has to ask them

1Is search visibility growing, and is it turning into traffic?
2Which queries and pages are carrying the gains?
3Where are the quick wins sitting just out of reach?
4What should we work on next month?

This template is built from a real Analyse8 report. It opens with search performance at a glance, works down through queries, pages, opportunities and segments, and closes with a single read of the month and a prioritised action list. Every section below is a page in the template.

FAQ

Seo performance report questions, answered

What should an SEO report include?

At a minimum: a top-level read on impressions, clicks, CTR and average position, then a breakdown by query and page, a look at keywords sitting just outside the top 10, and a clear set of next steps. This template covers all of it and closes with a ranked action list, so nobody has to piece it together themselves.

How often should I send an SEO report?

Monthly is the standard cadence because SEO moves slowly and weekly numbers are mostly noise. A month is long enough to show real ranking movement and recent enough to act on. This template is set up around a rolling month, and you can run it on any date range you like.

Do I need to export data from Search Console?

No. Connect the property once and the report pulls and writes itself. No CSV exports, no 1,000-row limits to work around, no rebuilding it every month.

What are striking distance keywords?

Keywords that already rank on page two, roughly positions 11 to 20, with meaningful impressions. They are usually the fastest wins in SEO because a small ranking improvement moves them onto page one, where most clicks happen.

Can I add my own branding to the report?

Yes. Add your logo and your client's name, then share it as a live link or export a branded PDF. Reports carry a small "Prepared on Analyse8" note. The version you are looking at was generated the same way.

Is this template free?

Yes. Preview the web and PDF versions above, and start building your own on the free plan. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.

How do I build my own version?

Connect Search Console, ask Analyse8 for an SEO performance report, and it returns this structure filled with your data and written insights. Adjust the date range or ask for more detail on any section in plain language.
